  1. Very interesting I always wanted to game this. What rules were you using? More specifically what was the figure scale, 1:50, 1:33, 1:20? Also, where did you find the info regarding uniforms of the irregulars? Do you ever post to TMP (The Miniatures Page), just type it in.
    Thank you.

    • Hi Robert,
Took me a moment to figure out which article post you attached your comment to. It was my “German Insurrection army paraded article” which displayed the various small units of the 1809 Insurrection period and campaign. The rules my gaming group uses are a club set…. based upon the old SPI game Waterloo and blended with Empire III and, for the sequence of play, taken from a old naval game called CA (SPI). Been in use since 1975 with upgrading of course. 25/28mm Miniature scale/ratio for most FRW/Napoleonic Imperial gaming is 1:80 for the smaller battles of history and slides towards 1:100 for the bigger unit sized battles. The sliding scale/ ratio generally tries to keep the smaller battalion up in miniature number and have those units be “useful” on the tabletop. Ground scale is 50 yard/ tabletop inch so 12″ equals 600 yards.
As for the Irregulars… I assume you are taking about the Prussian hasty raised “units” which joined and formed for 1809 Major Schill rebellion force. I painted them as ragged Prussians witha mix of uniforms and miniature casting. Ex soldiers in the most part.
I read the TMP pages and post on occasion. TMP Wargamerabbit. Based in northern Los Angeles.
