Issue with WP Blog Post links

Fellow gamers, (UPDATED)

Presently there is an issue at WordPress (my blog host) with inoperable .pdf and other data file links. Therefore, if you click on a linked document on Wargamerabbit the document will not appear for reading. I have notified WordPress and their back room staff via direct communication to resolve the inoperable links issue. They hope to have the answer and the informational links restored soon. All the YouTube video game mechanic links are presently in working order.

When the links work again I will update this post. Meanwhile, drinks are served in the warren.  WR

4/8/2014 UPDATE: Seems the warren world has returned to normal. The linking issue with .pdf and .xls files has been resolved when I tested several this morning. Thank you WordPress systems staff for your efforts. Hopefully this unwelcome issue has hopped away into another green meadow. If a visitor finds inoperable links, please contact WR so I can direct send the material to you. WR thanks his readers for their patience during the warren troubles. WR

 

 

Sad Day in the Warren

This past weekend WR received terrible news. Not to carry the burden to my readership, this poor rabbit is heartbroken and sad. I will hop forward with time, trying to heal a large open wound to the rabbit’s beating heart. Time it is said, will heal all wounds…..family and friend interaction, shuffle of feet on the dance floor, a dice roll in fun, a paint brush in hand works mental wonders. Family is supportive but cannot intercede my close personal loss of so many years.

To all who have dear friends and family. Keep them close and loved.

In mourning… and remembrance.

Missing Links….

Today WR found out that a whole bunch of his gaming links were inoperable. So with carrots in hand, WR has gone through the past 18 months worth of post and pages to confirm that the links are now operating… and many carrots.

WR wishes to express his regrets to all who attempted recently to find linked material and sites on Wargamerabbit. External links to YouTube and the web sites seemed to be ok in the large…. but many of the napoleonic rules and files were inoperable. Those links and files have been corrected, especially for the large data base of national characteristics.

WR is pondering why…. probably just “flipped a switch” someplace, moved a database file to a new location…. WR is no computer geek and didn’t read the manual.

If visitors to the warren find any inoperable links or files. Please email WR directly from contact info found on the “About the Wargamerabbit” tab.

Hopefully all is well in the rabbit world now. Drinks will be served soon.

The Leibster and WR current events

A little over a month ago the warren’s news department received notice that head rabbit Michael, aka “Wargamerabbit”, had been nominated for the blog sphere’s Leibster award by the east coast napoleonic gaming wizard Peter (Gonsalvo of Blunders on the Danube) and seconded by James (Waterloo2015 FINS). At that time many local rabbits were “tales abuzz” wondering what this award was all about and much discussion in the bunny ranks. WR, with the holidays fast approaching and a tight family meetings and gaming schedule, thought long and hard how to proclaim to the blogging world and like the US Congress, went over into the New Year of 2013.

WR is returning to the Warren…

Been awhile since the last blog post (April 9th). WR has been tasked with some major miniature projects for end of May and produce a HMGS-PSW convention gaming event in June. These projects have sucked all WR’s time for the last few weeks prevent WR from his normal Army of the month and game scenarios posts.
